At the invitation of FICCI FLO Siliguri, Dr. Bhavna Barmi led an emotional wellness session that brought together over forty women entrepreneurs and professionals for an afternoon of reflection and renewal. The session created a safe, supportive space for members to step back from daily pressures and reconnect with their inner strength.
Dr. Bhavna guided participants through practical tools for de-stressing, building resilience, and cultivating emotional balance. Her engaging style combined real-life insights with mindfulness techniques, offering women tangible strategies to navigate both personal and professional challenges with greater clarity. She emphasized that empowered living begins with inner alignment, and that self-care is not a luxury but a foundation for sustained success.
What unfolded was more than a workshop. It became a pause, a collective breath, and a reminder of the importance of tending to one’s own well-being. The room resonated with candid conversations, moments of release, and a shared commitment to carry the practices forward.
Participants left inspired, lighter, and more connected to themselves and each other, with many calling it a turning point in how they approach their mental and emotional health. The experience reinforced the value of emotional wellness in leadership and everyday decision-making.

As part of the Employee Assistance Program, Vibgyor conducted an interactive workshop, You First, focused on workplace well-being, resilience, and team dynamics. The session was facilitated by Dr. Bhavna Barmi, addressing the emotional demands faced by employees in dynamic corporate environments.
The program emphasized building stronger teams, effective communication, and cultivating emotional intelligence at work. Participants engaged in reflective exercises, group discussions, and scenario-based activities to explore stress management, collaboration, and problem-solving in professional settings. They also reflected on real-life workplace situations, which made the learning highly relatable and immediately applicable.
Dr. Bhavna highlighted strategies for balancing work demands with self-care and fostering supportive relationships among colleagues. A one-hour Stress Management Workshop was conducted by Dr Bhavna Barmi on 4th September 2018 for managers in which a wide spectrum of techniques aimed at managing a person's level of stress for the purpose of improving everyday functioning was taught. The objective was to aid in maintaining a healthier work-life balance. Participants reported that thereof they were able to take charge of their thoughts and emotions, develop better distress tolerance skills that have helped them deal with the various environmental stressors to regain a healthy work-life balance.
An ongoing training workshop for company secretary students has been going on since over a decade to work on the personality development and communication skills with the Institute of Company Secretaries of India. An enhancement in their overall personality has been visible with the development of healthy coping skills with a focus on positive thoughts and emotions.
A workshop was conducted on the 12th of October for the directors of a company to help them de-stress from their everyday work life.
Relaxation techniques and visual imagery were used to induce a natural state of relaxation. Directors reported a decrease in their stress levels and physical as well as mental relaxation after performing the activities.
A pan-India workshop was conducted by Dr Bhavna Barmi on 8th of March-International Women's Day on the topic of Superwoman Syndrome. The workshop was aimed at understanding the syndrome, the effects of the superwoman syndrome and learning tips to balance family life and balance yourself. The participants reported having learnt how to cultivate a healthy work-life balance, successfully maintain the home to work transition and learn to develop a healthy work-life balance.
Jaismeen and Kirti from Dr. Barmi's team conducted a workshop on developing an attitude of gratitude at The Golden Estate, Faridabad on 31st July. A group of senior citizens at the Estate along with staff and the head, Col. Sunil Ahuja attended the workshop.
The importance of inculcating gratitude as an important virtue for paychologicalwell being was discussed, supported by interest research findings. Anecdotes and experiences were shared by many citizens, thereby making the workshop an interactive and engaging one. Steps of gratitude, namely, Recognizing-Remembering-Reciprocating were described to help participants understand how they can incorporate an attitude of gratitude in their lives. Practices like keeping a gratitude journal, mindfulness with gratitude were encouraged. The session ended with everyone's signing a gratitude tree made for display at the Estate.
Dr. Barmi conducted a workshop with the bureaucrats over Burnout Prevention and Management. During the workshop the participants were made aware of the state of burnout and its prolonged impact on the individual. Further, management techniques and coping mechanisms were learnt to deal with stress and its impact.
Workshop was conducted with Managers at Concentrix for Psychological First Aid. The workshop included an interactive discussion on mental health concerns and understanding the connection between occupational stress and mental health. The workshop helped managers gain insight into the signs and symptoms of mental illness, identifying risks and how to respond and provide support.
